EastEnders spoilers reveal a romance twist for Stacey Slater and newcomer Theo next week, amid a sinister prediction from viewers.
Theo gets closer to Stacey in upcoming scenes after once again coming to her family's aid, in a move that could leave her in danger if fans' theories are correct.
The teacher, known as Mr Hawthorne by his students, was introduced to the show earlier this year as part of a storyline with Freddie Slater.
Since then, he's been on hand to help the Slater family with different situations and next week Stacey decides to give him a chance as they go on a date.
She meets Theo at Walford East and things are a bit awkward as Stacey isn’t feeling a connection at all.
When Eve Unwin asks Theo to be Stacey’s plus one at Kathy’s wedding thinking she had a great time on the date, her best mate is horrified.
Stacey is left trying to uninvite Theo after confessing she didn't enjoy the date, while it seems Theo was thrilled with how things went.
So how will he take the rejection from Stacey, and are fans right to be worried about him?
It comes as fans believed they had rumbled who Theo really was, and his connection to the Slaters.
Freddie had confronted Theo after advice from Jean Slater, as Freddie had revealed his teacher used to pick on him at school and called him stupid.
After calling him out, Freddie was torn when Theo apologised for not being supportive at the time and also suggested he may have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Recent scenes have seen Freddie seeking specialist advice and an assessment, after Theo referred him to find out if he had the condition.
Theo has popped up in episodes since then and has been offering help to the Slaters, even buying Lily some expensive trainers.
Fans know that Stacey was uploading content to a cam website, and she had a persistent client who kept wanting particular snaps, including one of her face.
Fans are now predicting Theo could be the client, with one tweeting: "It be him paying for the videos Stacey doing."
Another viewer said: "He's the creep behind stacey's mystery OF viewer who's been harassing her for pictures."
A third viewer said: "I think the sneakers were to get closer to Stacey because he knows her cam work," as a fourth wrote: "Theo is the definitely the guy on the secret cam speaking in private to Stacey?"
Others feared he could be grooming Lily or Freddie, and might be using the gifts to get closer to them - while another fan questioned if he was hoping to adopt Lily's unborn baby.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
