An East Lothian Post Office which closed at the end of last year has officially re-opened at a new location.
Residents in Musselburgh have welcomed the vital service back to the community with the new store located within AA Phone Fix on the High Street. In October 2022, the original Post Office was forced to close due to the resignation of the operator.
The new store features two open plan serving positions at the retail counters and the branch's opening hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-7pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. This offers 67 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.

Steven Simpson, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to this area as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. The branch’s opening hours make it convenient for customers to visit.”
The new premises has a wide door with level access. Internally, there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair. Similar products and services will continue to be available
The new branch is approximately 300 metres away from the previous. There is free on street parking available directly outside the new premises. Customers can still use the same car parking and buses.
