In the short clip - filmed from a moving vehicle - a couple appears to be driving a tiny flashing and sparkling car, usually seen on go-karting tracks in fairs and themed parks, along a pedestrian pavement in a quiet residential area of the city.
The post was captioned with: "The things you see in Musselburgh."
After publishing the video, the social media user sparked a frenzy in the comment section, with one person saying, "These electric cars are becoming so much more affordable these days."
Another wrote: "Tell me you live in the UK without telling me," while the third joked: "We're robbing the fair this year - I want one."
