East Lothian Council to take on trauma officer to help workers deal with people in distress

East Lothian Council is looking to recruit a development officer to help staff deal with people suffering from trauma.

The new temporary post is being funded from £100,000 Scottish Government funding and will see a trauma informed policy developed within the council workforce and across services.

The policy will help staff recognise and deal sensitively with people who have experienced trauma.
