A section of the A1 now partially reopened after being closed in both directions due to a 'multi-vehicle' collision.
Traffic Scotland have issued an urgent update to anyone planning to use the A1 on Wednesday, November 9, after emergency services raced to the incident on the major East Lothian road.
Taking place at around 6am, the incident is thought to have occurred near Prestonpans, however the entire stretch of road between the town and Musselburgh had been shut off.

The Northbound entry slip at Prestonpans is now partially blocked following the earlier collision. Traffic is still slow heading Northbound towards Edinburgh, however the Southbound lanes are now unaffected,
Police are at the scene, however it is unclear if there are any injuries as a result of the crash.

An update from Traffic Scotland on social media at 6.10am read: "#A1 - PRESTONPANS The #A1 at Prestonpans is closed in both directions between Prestonpans and Musselburgh due to a multi-vehicle collision.
"Police are on scene with traffic being diverted locally #takecare."
