East Kilbride Swim Team are hosting their annual sponsored walk in Chatelherault Country Park this Saturday and are looking for local folk to take part.
The walk will see participants put their best foot forward for a range of good causes in East Kilbride as well as the club, with the Kilbryde Hospice being amongst the beneficiaries last year.
The club, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, have long since been a vital part of the swimming community, training international stars such as Corrie Scott, and promoting the role of swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle for over half a decade.
Participating in the event is local MP Dr Lisa Cameron MP who has pledged to join members on the walk and has provided various Harry Potter, Rangers, Celtic and Scotland artworks for the club's ongoing fundraising.
Dr Cameron said: "I am looking forward to participating in the Summer Walk and would encourage as many people as possible to register and raise as much funds as possible for this worthwhile cause."
Registration for the event is at 10.45am at Chatelherault Country Park, Hamilton with the walk, expected to last one hour, starting at 11am.
