Residents of East Kilbride are being asked to give ideas on how the town can celebrate its 75th anniversary.
South Lanarkshire Council is looking for public feedback on how the milestone can be celebrated.
A survey has been created to give the locals of East Kilbride a chance to share their thoughts, and the deadline for giving ideas is April 8.
The survey is available to complete here, and ideas in the survey include a time capsule, walking tours, a historic exhibit or a mutual – but there is a chance to share individual ideas.
Although a village has existed in the area of East Kilbride for hundreds of years, it was officially given new town status on May 6, 1947, as part of the effort to regenerate Scotland after World War Two.
The town was created to provide a living space away from the overcrowded parts of Glasgow. It was Scotland’s first ever new town and the most successful in terms of population and economic growth.
