East Kilbride could land at least two SPFL players as boss Chris Aitken strengthens his squad for the business end of the Lowland League season.
The Kilby gaffer is hoping to get deals over the line for a defender and a forward player
The transfer deadline doesn't affect East Kilbride, who can sign players up until March 31, but SPFL clubs will be looking to offload players sooner rather than later.
Aitken, who added ex-Celtic midfielder Ross McLaughlin to the squad last week, told Lanarkshire Live Sport : "I'm hopeful there will be at least two joining the group today.
"The good thing is the window doesn't affect us too much so if we don't get it sorted soon there's still plenty of time.
"One is a defender and one is an attacking player. One plays in League One and the other in League Two so that would be some good news for us.
"I'm hopeful at least one will be done today.
"I am light in the squad and it would be a wee boost for us ahead of training tomorrow night to get these guys in."
East Kilbride are currently fifth in the Lowland League and 16 points adrift of runaway leaders Bonnyrigg Rose, but they are still chasing silverware this season.
They face Lanarkshire rivals Cumbernauld Colts in the last 16 of the South Challenge Cup on Saturday, which boss Aitken is determined to win in what has been a disappointing campaign for the two-time Lowland champions.
