A cyclist has been seriously injured after being involved in a crash with a car driver in East Kilbride.
The 69-year-old man was on the A749 Glasgow Road around 12.15pm on Monday when a collision with a red Suzuki Alto car unfolded.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His injuries have been described as serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.

The male driver of the car was uninjured.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder of the Road Policing Unit in Lanarkshire said: “Our enquiries to establish the circumstances which led to this collision are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may be able to help to come forward.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have dashcam footage.
“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 1477 of 10 April, 2023.”
