Plans have been announced for the creation of a new Wastewater Pumping Station in East Belfast.
NI Water have proposed the plans to create a new pumping station in the Sydenham area, on a piece of land beside the King George V playing fields, adjacent to the Sydenham Bypass.
It would be designed to address the impact of flooding in the Sydenham area and form part of a wider solution to tackle the the city’s wastewater capacity issues which NI Water say are currently curtailing long-term development.
