An Ayrshire road is closed during the day for up to three weeks.
Work on the B7038 between Fenwick and Kilmarnock started on Monday and is expected to continue until March 28.
The road will be closed between 9am and 6pm meaning drivers will be forced to take an alternative route via Kilmaurs if they wish to travel to and from Fenwick.
The diversion route is B7038 Glasgow Road; Western Road; Kilmaurs Road, Kilmarnock; A735 to Kilmaurs; Fenwick Road, Kilmaurs; B751 to Fenwick; northwards on A77; B778 Stewarton Road, Fenwick; and B7061 Main Road, Fenwick and vice versa.
An Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) spokesperson said: “The ARA, as part of its ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on B7038 Fenwick.
“To ensure the safety of the travelling public and our roads operatives, the road will be closed from 9am until 6pm each day from Monday, March 7 for up to three weeks.
"These resurfacing works are weather dependent and may be delayed or suspended at times due to adverse weather conditions.
“There will be no access through the site for road users other than access to the property within the extents of the works.
