Eamonn Holmes couldn't help but get in a few jibes as his former colleagues Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were hit with intense criticism after their 14 year working friendship came to an abrupt end.
The This Morning duo officially parted ways after it was reported that the hosts' relationship has "cooled" in recent months.
As more reports about the behind-the-scene happenings emerged, guests and presenters took it as an opportunity to share their experiences with Holly and Phil.
On Saturday, Phillip made the decision to quit This Morning after 21 years and said that he wanted to "protect the show that I love."
Eamonn, who used to present on the ITV show with his wife Ruth Langsford, had a field day as he slammed his former colleagues.
Here's everything we know about Eamonn and Ruth's feud with Holly and Phil...
Sly Jabs
Not only did Eamonn like a few tweets about This Morning, but he also claimed Holly and Phil 'deserve each other.'
After questioning Phillip's exit, Eamonn said: "And she says, 'Oh, the couch will not be the same without him being there'. Well, she wanted him not there. So what is she moaning about?"
He then added: "They deserve each other I suppose."
It wasn't the only time Eamonn took a swipe at Phillip as he shared his thoughts on the drama before Phil announced his exit.
Eamonn explained that Holly and Phillip should have been recognised at last Sunday night's BAFTA TV Awards.
Speaking on GB News, Eamonn said: "I think there should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors.
"They may or may not be together on the telly today. The public surely will suss that there's no chemistry, that it's a broken fit between the two of them and that This Morning does not depend on who presents it."
He also liked a tweet about him and his wife Ruth being 'shafted' from This Morning.
"IMO one of the worst things they did was to shaft Ruth and Eamonn so that's a drama alone," the tweet read.
Ruth 'fumes' at Phillip
Things between Eamonn and Ruth and Holly and Phillip have always been sticky, with the couple taking swipes at the duo over the years.
Before Ruth and Eamonn left This Morning, they had several awkward incidents with the other two presenters.
In 2019, Ruth was left fuming when she was cut off by Phil.
The Loose Women host was previewing her show when the This Morning presenter stopped her talking mid-sentence.
After introducing the panel, Ruth was revealing that Emmerdale actress Louisa Clein would be making an appearance when she was suddenly interrupted.
Phillip shouted: "Guys, we're going to have to jump in there and stop you I'm afraid because we're a bit tight for time on this end."
Open-mouthed Ruth threw her hands out in confusion as Phil added: "Thank you Ruth and we'll catch you guys a little bit later."
The pair began talking over each other in a very tense moment which left the rest of the Loose Women panel looking very uncomfortable.
Turning away from the camera, Ruth insisted: "I only had about two more words to say - don’t worry."
Phillip, who was alongside co-host Holly, kept a smile on his face as he added: "Thank you very much."
Ruth reportedly went on to file a complaint against the presenter.
Eamonn's feud with Phillip
In January 2022, Eamonn left This Morning to join GB News while Ruth stayed at ITV.
After he left, it was claimed that Phil didn't reach out to Eamonn to see how he was doing.
Lifting the lid on Phil's radio silence, a source revealed that although the pair "never saw eye to eye", his lack of contact has come as quite a surprise given the fact he and Eamonn worked alongside one another for so many years.
The insider revealed: "It’s been quite publicised that he and Phillip didn’t really see eye to eye.
"Phillip hasn’t contacted Eamonn since leaving This Morning, which is a bit of a shame.
"Eamonn felt like Phillip didn’t really like him," they told OK! Magazine.
A month after joining GB News, Eamonn took a swipe at Phil after ITV dedicated time to celebrate his 40th anniversary of stardom.
ITV Daytime highlighted the fact throughout the morning with a segment on Lorraine dedicated to the star.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Eamonn had ‘liked’ a tweet that read: “This #lorraine show is bizarre.. why not celebrate 40 years on #thismorning instead of another show?”
He also liked a string of others that slammed ITV for sacking him from This Morning.
National Television Awards fallout
Viewers claimed they noticed the severity of the feud between the four presenters during the National Television Awards in 2020.
As Phil, Eamonn, Ruth, and Holly took to the stage to accept their gong for Best Daytime TV Show, fans blasted Phil for 'hogging' the microphone and not giving Eamonn or Ruth the opportunity to say a few words of thanks to their loyal viewers.
The interaction fuelled more rumours of a feud and viewers couldn't help but notice Ruth's 'cold demeanour' as she stood alongside Phillip.
It was also claimed that Eamonn was enraged that Phillip had hugged Ruth on stage as they collected the award for best Live Magazine show.
The Sun has reported that ITV sources have said that it was felt that Phil's actions were "disingenuous".
