Presenter Eamonn Holmes has shared an update about his health struggles. Clearly expressing his frustration at his lack of mobility and having to 'depend on others' the GB News host and former GMTV presenter told fans it was "soul-destroying".
The 63-year-old has suffered a series of health issues recently. In November, Nottinghamshire Live reported that he had been dealt another blow after a fall while recovering from spinal surgery. It was reported that he had been suffering from a dislocated pelvis and a trapped sciatic nerve, among many other health concerns and had hoped the operation would "ease chronic pain in his back and legs".
Taking to social media on Wednesday, December 29, the Mirror reported that Eamonn had updated followers on his progress. He wrote: "Worked hard at my physio this morning. Very tiring but I've now sat on my backside for 5 hours and feel bad about doing nothing..... lack of mobility & depending on others stops me doing really simple things. For peace of mind I feel another round of foot exercises coming on."

The presenter and columnist, who has 1m followers, soon had the support of fans. In an attempt to boost his morale, one person penned: "I feel your pain I had 6 months of physio 2 hours a night 5 a week. I hated relying on folk.. but the one thing was NO one will ever understand how awful Physio is and how exhausting."
In response, Eamonn commented: "Relying is soul destroying."
Another agreed: "The 'simple' things we take for granted. Making a brew, shower and getting up and down the stairs. So frustrating having to ask for help. I feel lucky that this is just a moment in time for me. Glass half full, if someone would be kind enough to top up my wine that would be fab". Sharing the support, Eamonn replied: "Good luck" and added a "x" to his response.
Others made suggestions that they thought would help his recovery. "I do wonder if time at a spa might help as body weight gravity is roughly one third in the pool. V relaxing," commented one person, to which the breakfast anchor said: "Doing a bit of hydrotherapy already. Big help".
The support rolled in. One fan said: "Be gentle with yourself. And enjoy the rest. Hope you feel better soon." Another wrote: "Keep going we miss you on TV", and again Eamonn responded: "Thank u x," he said.
In March 2021, Holmes shared news of his chronic pain saying: "Starting the day by tackling the pain from the night before... On the physio table. Chronic pain. Just can't get it to go away".
