The Eagles are retooling on both sides of the football game.
They have made significant changes to the coaching staff after losing six of their final seven games down the stretch to complete a disastrous finish one year after reaching the Super Bowl.
With the NFL combined and free agency’s fast approach, ESPN took an early look at the trajectory for all 32 teams, ranking clubs around the league in tiers based on their potential for success in the future.

Philadelphia Eagles (11-6)
Average age of roster: 27.2
Salary cap space: $15.2 million
Total 2024 draft picks (projected): 9What’s next: The pressure is on for general manager Howie Roseman to replenish the Eagles’ roster in several spots. Center Jason Kelce appears ready to retire and become a broadcaster. The secondary looked a step slow last year. Linebacker — a position in which the Eagles traditionally don’t heavily invest but proved pivotal for several playoff teams — wasn’t good enough. And pass-rusher contracts loom large with Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat both a year from free agency. Reddick could be traded if no deal is reached. Philly essentially has to pick one of those two. The Eagles are among the most creative at roster building via trades, so expect a move or two over the next three months.
The Eagles will await retirement decisions from Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox while also taking feelers on a potential deal for a disgruntled pass rusher, Haason Reddick.
Philadelphia will need to incorporate the schemes of Kellen Moore (OC), and Vic Fangio (DC), while retooling the linebacker group, and secondary.
