Eagles’ DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown Celebrated TD With Legendary LeBron James-Dwyane Wade Move

The Eagles came away with a massive divisional win Sunday over the Cowboys and they did so with style. In the third quarter, A.J. Brown caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts and celebrated the score with DeVonta Smith by emulating a legendary NBA moment.

While the tandem of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were terrorizing basketball with the Heat, they build quite a reputation as one of the best duos ever on the fastbreak thanks to some well-timed alley-oops. The most iconic one of them all came in December 2010 when Wade was ahead of James on the break against the Bucks. Wade simply left the ball in the air behind him and started celebrating before James even dunked the ball behind him.

Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (11) celebrates his touchdown behind wide receiver DeVonta Smith (6) during the third quarter against the Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.

The iconic photo born from this shows James in midair before a vicious dunk while Wade is basking in the moment. And in the third quarter of Philadelphia’s 28–23 win, the two star wideouts did just that.

After Brown scored, Smith took the ball, threw it backwards, and mimicked Wade’s pose while Brown dunked the ball as if he were James himself. Definitely one of the best touchdown celebrations of the year.

Brown finished the game with seven catches for 66 yards and a touchdown while Smith caught three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown of his own.
