West Coast star Elliot Yeo is on track to play again this year after receiving positive news on his hamstring injury, while Jeremy McGovern has taken an early step in his recovery from broken ribs.
The Eagles feared Yeo might have sustained a season-ending hamstring injury during Sunday's 35-point loss to Richmond.
But scans have shown the damage isn't too serious, with Yeo on track to return in three or four weeks.
"We had the scans back and it's promising, so that's good news and he's started his rehab program," head of health Mark Finucane told westcoasteagles.com.au.
"In the next day or two we'll hopefully start him jogging and build through the hamstring program from there."
Four-time All-Australian defender McGovern has resumed some light cardio work following surgery on the ribs he broke in round 14.
He will have follow-up scans and a visit with the surgeon next week.
"He started some light spin on the bike and no issues with that. It's just a slow progression from there," Finucane said.
Veteran forward Josh Kennedy will return in Sunday's clash with Carlton after being rested last week.
"JK has been managing a grumbly knee so the week off allowed that to settle and we'll see him back out there this weekend," Finucane said.
Zac Langdon (ankle) will make his return via the WAFL this weekend while Samo Petrevski-Seton has recovered well from the ankle tweak he suffered against the Tigers.
