EA FC 26 Going on an Adventure Evolution: Best Players And All Upgrades

The game’s latest free evolution, EA FC 26‘s Going on an Adventure allows players to give their defenders the Trent Alexander-Arnold treatment via both a Whipped Pass+ PlayStyle and a welcome boost to most offensive stats.

But, unlike many might guess via its label, the evolution can give a second life to a few select Gold Rare and cheap beasts. Here are the best players for the Going on an Adventure evolution in EA FC 26.

EA FC 26 Going On An Adventure Evolution Requirements And Upgrades

Availalbe until March 20, Going on an Adventure can only be applied to 86 or under LBs with up to four positions, 10 PlayStyles, and one PS+. The evo is then divided into 5 levels and will, apart from the mentioned Whipped Pass+, provide a huge +18 OVR increase, as well as Intercept, Relentless, Dead Ball, and massive upgrades to PAS, DRI, and PAC to players.

You can check out a full breakdown of all its upgrades below:

  • Level 1: +18 OVR (max 89), +10 DEF (max 84), LM position, +20 Acceleration (max 90), +20 Reactions (max 90), and +25 Curve (max 89)

Thanks to his Quick Step+, Jockey, and Anticipate, Gold Rare Nuno Mendes is by far the best pick for the Going on an Adventure Evolution in EA FC 26, as he will both avoid its lackluster PS+ and get both Intercept and Relentless. For a similar reason, Winter Wildcards Luke Shaw is another great pick, and can use it to become a high-end option in the fullback position while excelling even more as a CB.

The PSG star and Man United defender are then followed by Winter Wildcards Julian Ryerson, whose Bruiser+ does a lot of the heavy lifting. On the other hand, the evo’s mentioned PAC boost also enables it to turn many obsolete picks into fun options, with Base Hero Jamie Carragher being the best example.

To recap, here are the best players for the Going on an Adventure evolution in FC 26, as well as a few other alternatives sure to surprise. Keep in mind that its huge OVR boost and PS+ make the evo a poor choice when looking to start Silver or Bronze chains.

  • Gold Rare Nuno Mendes (86 OVR / LB)
  • Winter Wildcards Luke Shaw (86 OVR / CB)
  • Time Warp Alfonso Espino (86 OVR / LB)
  • Time Warp Ashley Young (86 OVR / LM)
  • Base Hero Jamie Carragher (86 OVR / CB)
  • Winter Wildcards Julian Ryerson (85 OVR / LB)
  • Gold Rare Theo Hernández (84 OVR / LB)
  • TOTW Nobel Mendy (84 OVR / CB)
