After mistakingly including Prime Icon Moments player items in Mid/Prime Icon Player Picks, EA has begun compensating impacted FIFA 22 players.
EA Sports released a Mid/Prime Icon Squad Building Challenge in FIFA 22 on Friday, March 11, 2022. But the reward mistakingly gave some players the ability to pick a Prime Icon Moments player items in their Mid/Prime Icon Player Picks, with EA announcing hours later that they would be following up with the impacted players, after removing the Icon Moments player items from the Player Pick.
EA Sports are beginning to roll out the compensation for the players who received a Prime Icon Moments player item in their pick of three players, but players who opened the Icon Pick and didn't receive the option of a Prime Icon Moments have not received reimbursement, leaving many FUT players furious.

Many FIFA 22 players are asking for everyone who completed the SBC to receive compensation, with players who received a Prime Icon Moments player item receiving a better item than the Mid/Prime Icons, giving them an advantageous reward. What exacerbates this issue is that these players who benefitted from the mistake the first time around will benefit again by being awarded compensation in the form of an additional Mid/Prime Player Pick, despite having received a rarer item in the first instance by mistake.
It's also being argued by players that the addition of Prime Icon Moments player items in the Player Pick could have impacted the odds of receiving one of the higher-rated Mid/Prime Icons available from the Player Pick. Players who completed the Mid/Prime Icon player pick and saw a Prime Icon Moments player item in their pick will receive a second Mid/Prime Icon player pick free of charge.
Mirror Football has contacted EA Sports regarding this issue, specifically around whether Prime Icon Moments player items being mistakenly included in the Mid/Prime Player Pick impacted the probability of the Player Pick overall, which would then have impacted every player who completed the SBC.
At 12:40 AM GMT on Saturday, March 12, 2022, EA addressed the issue regarding the Mid/Prime Icon Player Pick, where some players were receiving Prime Icon Moments player items in their pick of three players.
"We are aware that the Mid/Prime Icon Player Pick included Icon Moments Items," said EA.
"This issue was addressed earlier today, and we will be following up with impacted players in game in the coming days."
EA then issued a further statement regarding the Mid/Prime Icon Player Pick on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, confirming that the company is working through the impacted players and they will be following up in the coming days.
"We continue to identify impacted players, and once we've completed our investigation, they will receive the corrected Mid/Prime Icon Player Pick in-game."
This isn't the first time that EA had mistakingly included the wrong items in a player pick SBC, with the company coming under fire at the beginning of the year when they included Odsonne Edouard's Record Breaker player item in the FUT Year In Review SBC.
The FIFA 22 Year In Review SBC allowed players to earn a FUT 22 Player Pick which contains 1 of 3 Players that were released through SBCs during all previous campaigns in FUT 22, up until 31st of December.
But, with Edouard's SBC being released into FUT 22 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, he was mistakingly included in the player pick, leading to EA compensating the players who received Edouard in their player pick, but not everyone who completed the SBC.
Based on how EA handled the compensation over the Year In Review SBC, we expect that they will do the same with the Mid/Prime Icon player pick, with only the directed impacted players set to receive another Mid/Prime player pick in FUT 22.
