Ohio State basketball forward E.J. Liddell has officially joined the 1,000 point club at OSU. Early in the second half against Minnesota on Thursday night, Liddell corralled the ball down on the blocks, pump-faked, went back up, made the basket, and got fouled. He then made the free throw for his 12th point of the game and cool grand for his career on the banks of the Olentangy.
Liddell becomes just the 60th player in OSU history to score at least 1,000 points. And, by the way, it’s not just points he’s scoring. Liddell already has a double-double with plenty of time to go on the scoreboard.
In other words, he’s ballin’ out in the Twin Cities.

Ohio State will likely need more heroics from Liddell to finish this one out in “The Barn.” The Buckeyes sorely need this one to keep pace at the top of the Big Ten.
