Ohio State basketball forward E.J. Liddell was one of 30 players named to the Naismith Player of the Year midseason team on Thursday.
At 6-foot, 7-inches, Liddell leads the Buckeyes with 19.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. Now a junior, he has continued to progress in his abilities each season he’s been in Columbus. He’s shooting 51.9% from the floor including a clip of 40.5% from beyond the arc so far in 2021-2022.
The Big Ten is well-represented on the team, with six others making the team. Along with Liddell, Illinois’ Kofi Cockburn, Trayce Jackson-Davis of Indiana, Iowa’s Keegan Murray, Aden Ivey and Zach Edey of Purdue, and Wiconsin’s Johnny Davis all appear on the team.
