A dying father called his partner to say he 'wasn't going to make it' after he was savagely attacked in the street.
Carl Moorhouse, 34, died in hospital after being ambushed in Lower Leam Street in Leamington Spa, Warks., at around 10pm on May 28, 2020.
The gang of four men and a woman had travelled together from Birmingham to the town before laying in wait for Carl to return to his car.
As he walked back to his vehicle he was attacked by Reuben Nall, 27, Adam Padley, 27, Terry Nall, 31, Callum Huburn, 30, and Emma Bennett, 35.
Carl was stabbed on the left side of his chest with the blade piercing his heart during the violent attack and he was pronounced dead just after midnight on May 29.
After the stabbing, Carl phoned his partner and told her: "I've been stabbed. I'm dying. I'm not going to make it," while the attackers fled in two getaway cars.
They also took Carl's Ford Fiesta, which was later abandoned a few streets away.
A police investigation established Carl's death was the result of a brutal turf war between two rival drugs gangs.
Brothers Reuben and Terry Nall and Padley, all from Birmingham, were found guilty of murder at Loughborough Crown Court last month.
Huburn, also from Birmingham, and Bennett, of Coventry, were cleared of murder but convicted of manslaughter and conspiracy to commit GBH.
Today the gang were jailed for a total of 91 years.
The Nall brothers and Padley were each jailed for life with a minimum of 24 years behind bars.
Huburn was jailed for 14 years while Bennet was caged for five years.
Following the case, Carl's mother said in a statement: "Our Carl - loving son, dad, brother and uncle - tragically taken.
"Every day hurts without you here, we miss you and always will. Justice for Carl is what we wanted."
Carl's partner, Bianca, said: "Carl was an amazing partner and father. The children adored him as he did them.
"Our hearts will forever be broken, and we will miss him for eternity."
Detective Chief Inspector Teresa McKenna, from Warwickshire Police's Major Investigation Unit, said: "On 28 May 2020, Carl Moorhouse was fatally stabbed on a residential street in Leamington.
"The events of that night were both shocking and horrifying for those that witnessed it and for Carl’s family and friends.
“I hope today’s sentences provide some solace to Carl’s family and friends.
“I fully understand the continued anguish and deep sadness they feel at the loss of their son, partner, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
“I thank them for their patience, resilience and determination throughout the investigation and judicial process.”
Four other defendants Tau Randall, 35, Darnelle Sappleton, 23, Javarnty Scott, 24, and Jamani Cunningham, 25, all of Birmingham, were cleared of all charges.
