The UK Government and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have confirmed that the State Pension and benefits including Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) will rise.
Beginning on April 11, those claiming any of the payments will see the amount they receive increase by 3.1%.
It was previously reported that the State Pension age is set to rise for those born after 1960.

Among the other benefits set to see their weekly rates increase in April are Jobseeker’s Allowance, Statutory Sick Pay, and Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
As reported by the Daily Record, here is a rundown of all of the new DWP payment rates coming into effect this year.
