Benefit claimants could get £1,560 backpay after DWP court case

An estimated 2.4million people are awaiting the results of a court case to see if they are owed thousands.

Legacy benefit claimants could receive up to £1,560 in backpay as the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) is being challenged in court.

The court case comes after benefit claimants took on the DWP over an "unfair" bonus given to Universal Credit claimants during the pandemic, reported Birmingham Live.
