Millions of households are set to receive a £301 cost of living payment from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) from next month. The vital support, which is the first of three separate pay outs totalling £900 over the next 12 months, is set to land in bank accounts between Tuesday April 25 and Wednesday May 17.
Those eligible and on means-tested benefits, such as Universal Credit or Pension Credit, will get the cash during the 2023/24 financial year from the government. According to Lancs Live, further cost of living support is also being provided with payments worth £150 for eligible people with disabilities and £300 for pensioners due later this year.
This means some people will receive up to £1,350 in direct payments.
