DWP announces major change to when Universal Credit and other benefits will be paid in August

With a cost of living crisis bestowed upon residents across the United Kingdom, many will be keeping a watchful eye on their bank account balance for benefits like Universal Credit, PIP and Tax Credits to drop in.

And with a bank holiday looming in the near future, there's likely to be a change of date that recipients will see their payments.

Monday, 29 August is a bank holiday in England and Wales this year, with a further two set to come later in the year - in the form of Boxing Day and December 27 (which is a BH in lieu of Christmas Day, which falls on a Sunday in 2022).
