Christmas can be expensive at the best of times but the cost of living crisis is putting extra pressure on households this year. Some help is available.
There are currently several schemes running which provide discounts and free cash to help to eligible households and it could be worth up to £842. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) expects this additional financial support to hit bank accounts before the end of the year.
There is an array of extra cash available, including the third instalment of the £400 energy discount, which is being handed out to all energy bill payers. December's instalment means a £67 reduction on energy bills this month.
