The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has revealed that the second instalment of the £650 cost means-tested cost of living payment will be issued next month.
Between November 8 and November 23, over 8 million households across Scotland and the UK will be given the £324 cash boost. It follows the first £326 instalment that was issued earlier this year.
Only people who receive certain qualifying benefits from the DWP will get the money. Additionally, those who claim Working Tax Credits or Child Tax Credits will get the boost — though not until "shortly after" the DWP has administered the payments.
