The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has recently revealed that the second £324 cost of living payment will be issued to over 8 million UK households between November 8 and November 23.
The one-off cash boost will be issued only to those who receive qualifying means-tested DWP benefits. Those who claim Working Tax Credits or Child Tax Credits and no other means-tested benefit will get the money between November 23 and November 30.
As reported by the Daily Record, you do not need to apply for the payment as it will be issued automatically if you are eligible.

Over six million disability benefit claimants got a one-off £150 boost in September. However, the DWP has stated that some claimants have yet to receive their money — you can report a missing payment on the GOV.UK website.
Read on for a full breakdown of what you need to know about the second cost of living payment due this November.
Eligible benefits for November £324 payment from DWP
You may qualify for the £324 boost if you claim any of the following:
- Universal Credit
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Tax Credits - must be claimed alongside one other DWP benefit in this list, otherwise payment will be made later from HMRC
If you and your partner have a joint claim, you will receive one £324 payment between you.
Benefits that do not qualify for £324 cost of living payment
You will not get a payment if you get New Style Employment and Support Allowance, contributory Employment and Support Allowance, or New Style Jobseeker’s Allowance, unless you get Universal Credit.
Qualifying period
Universal Credit
You will qualify for the second cost of living payment if you were eligible for (or later found to be eligible for) a Universal Credit payment between August 26 to September 25.
Income-based JSA, income-based ESA, Income Support and Pension Credit
You will qualify for the second cost of living payment if you were eligible for (or later found to be eligible for) a payment of income-based JSA, income-related ESA, Income Support or Pension Credit for any day between August 26 to September 25.
New claims for Pension Credit
People over the State Pension age who make a new Pension Credit claim will still be eligible for the £324 payment so long as their application is in before December 19. This is because Pension Credit is a retrospective benefit, meaning it can be backdated up to three months.
Full details of the second payment and all cost of living support can be found on GOV.UK here.
