Dwight Yorke has blasted Jamie Carragher for his comments on Manchester City being a better team before Erling Haaland's arrival in the summer.
The former Liverpool defender spoke after City's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening and suggested the Norwegian striker had joined the 'wrong club'.
Suggestions have been made in recent weeks that Pep Guardiola's side are not getting the best out of the former Borussia Dortmund striker despite him hitting 25 league goals already.

Carragher said after Haaland failed to register a shot on target: “He’s come from a counter-attacking league [the Bundesliga] where it’s end to end. You saw his blistering pace there - we don’t see it here. He might have picked the wrong club to actually get the best out of him.”
Yorke has responded to these comments by labelling them 'ridiculous' and calling Carragher a 'waffler'.
“What a ludicrous statement from Jamie Carragher to say that Erling Haaland has not picked the right club in Manchester City, it's a ridiculous statement. Everyone has their opinion I suppose and we've both played the game at a certain level, but I'd take whatever Carragher says with a pinch of salt,” Yorke told OLBG.
“If Haaland is running in behind and not being passed to, it means Pep Guardiola has to tell the players on the ball to pass him the ball. It has nothing to do with Haaland choosing the 'wrong team'. Manchester City are the best team and have been for the past four years, what team would Haaland be better suited to if not Manchester City?
“Haaland does not like the ball to his feet, he's a striker who likes to run in behind. It's his first season too, so he's still getting to know the players he plays with and the other players are understanding how Haaland plays.”
