JAIPUR: A 31-year-old Netherlands national was raped inside a Jaipur hotel by a masseur on Wednesday. The accused was arrested on Friday. The woman filed the complaint on Thursday and a police team was sent to track him down.
DCP (West) Richa Tomar said on Friday that the accused, identified as Bijju Mulridharan, has been arrested under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC.
The incident took place at a hotel in the Sindhi Camp police station area of Jaipur. SHO (Sindhi Camp) Gunjan Soni said that the complainant is a tourist who had been staying there for the past six days. She had called for an ayurvedic massage service through the hotel.
In her complaint, the woman alleged that she received the ayurvedic massage at 2. 30pm on Wednesday at the hotel.
A few minutes later, the masseur began to touch and stroke her private parts. He apologised when she asked him to stop. He also asked her not to tell anyone.
