Dutch media are standing up to take notice of Giorgos Giakoumakis after he marked an impressive debut season at Celtic with a Premiership title.
The Greek hitman had a stunted start with injury but stepped up to the plate after the new year after Kyogo was sidelined with injury.
His double against Motherwell on the final day took his total to 17 goals in 29 appearances and he looks set to battle it out to become Ange Postecoglou's starting striker next season.
In recent weeks he has shown the sort of form that saw him earn the Eredivisie golden boot last season prior to his £2.1m move to Celtic.
And Dutch outlet Tubantia have taken notice with a look at how top scorers in recent seasons have fared since leaving.
Comparing Giakoumakis to current top scorer Sebastian Haller and past Eredivisie icons like Luuk de Jong and Memphis Depay, they note that he "opted for a top club in a smaller league" , like Cyriel Dessers did when he left for Genk in 2019.
And they see Giakoumakis as one of the success stories while others such as Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Vincent Janssen who left in moneyspinning transfers, struggled at Brighton and Tottenham respectively.
Interestingly it's also noted that Giakoumakis was by far the cheapest of all the golden boot winners to leave for a fee.
Celtic were able to snag him for just €2.5m (£2.1m) after VVV-Venlo's relegation with only Dessers' move to Genk (€4m) rivalling it in the bargain stakes.
Memphis Depay's move to Manchester United, in contract, landed PSV a cool €34m while Spurs splashed out €22m on Janssen, who now plays for Monterrey in Mexico.
