Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins has set an NFL record for consecutive games with a field goal of at least 50 yards. He did so right before halftime against the Indianapolis Colts when he hit a 54-yard field goal to give the Browns a 27-21 lead heading into the locker room.

Hopkins has bounced back nicely from the summer. He lost the kicking competition for the Los Angeles Chargers to Cameron Dicker. The Browns then traded a seventh-round pick in the 2025 draft to acquire Hopkins to take over for Cade York, who struggled during the preseason and was waived and would later sign with the Titans’ practice squad.
Hopkins improved to 14 of 16 on field goals following his 54-yard kick and is now a perfect 5 for 5 from at least 50 yards. Hopkins was only 50 percent from that range (15 of 30) entering the season. A change of scenery has certainly been good for Hopkins thus far in 2023.
