Ajax standout Dusan Tadic has told Rangers they conjured up the perfect plan pre-match before warning their Champions League rivals they can play even BETTER.
The Ibrox men slumped to a chastening 4-0 trouncing in their return to the group stage and were second best all over the pitch. And the Amsterdam club's Serbian skipper admitted they had it pre-planned about the way to target Giovanni van Bronckhorst 's Rangers side.
The Ajax hero said: "We put a lot of pressure on our opponent and we had discussed doing that before the game. The team spirit was good and everyone was committed to each other. We played a lot of good football. We made it a great evening for our fans and this was a strong message we sent out. In the last few games, I don't think I have played particularly well and I have been in a new position. But sometimes, you have to do what's important for the team. We can play better though and I think this is only the beginning for us."
And Ajax hero and man of the match Mohammed Kudus insisted he is only concentrating on Ajax after seeing a transfer day deadline move to Everton denied by the club. Kudus even went on strike in a bid to push through the move, but insists he's settled his differences now after downing Rangers.
He said: "The man of the match trophy is for the whole team and not just for me. As for what happened last week, I spoke to the manager and it was not a big thing. I will continue to give everything for the club.”
