The Premier League have confirmed Nottingham Forest’s 25-man squad, following the closure of the summer transfer window.
Top-flight clubs were required to submit squad lists after the end of the window, with each team permitted no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the “Home Grown Player” criteria. Under-21 players (born on or January 1, 2001) do not count towards the 25-man total - in the Reds’ case Brennan Johnson, Neco Williams and Loic Mbe Soh among the first-team group.
The limits imposed mean midfielder Cafu and striker Lyle Taylor missed the cut for Forest. The Reds also still have Harry Arter as a senior player still on the books, but he has not been part of the first-team set-up for some time.

Upcoming transfer
Palmeiras boss Abel Ferreira has praised the "correct and honest" way Gustavo Scarpa has gone about his move to Nottingham Forest.
Scarpa, 28, looks set to join Forest when his deal with the Brazilian club expires at the end of the calendar year, meaning he could be the Reds' first arrival in the January transfer window this season.
When asked about Scarpa's mentality ahead of the move, Ferreira was full of praise for his attacking midfielder. Scarpa has been in good form on the pitch, while has kept a mature head on his shoulders off it - keeping his commitment to the club he is currently playing for.
"He was very correct and honest with the club. He expressed a dream and a desire, which is legitimate," said Ferreira.
Zinc's move
Former Nottingham Forest loanee Philip Zinckernagel says he left Olympiacos because he “didn’t want to play” for boss Carlos Corberan.
The Dane only joined the Greek club - who, like the Reds, are owned by Evangelos Marinakis - in June, making the move from Watford. He made seven appearances, scoring twice, before signing on loan for Standard Liege last week.
Pedro Martins had been in charge of Olympiacos when Zinckernagel put pen to paper. When he was sacked, Marinakis replaced him with the man whose Huddersfield Town side had been beaten by Forest in the Championship play-off final in May.
“I didn't want to play for the new coach, it was his predecessor who really wanted me,” Zinckernagel told Belgian newspaper Le Soir, in a translated interview. "I couldn't see myself playing for him, which is why I decided to leave.

Fulham's plan
Defender Tim Ream says Fulham will try to use a packed City Ground to their advantage when they make the trip to face Nottingham Forest on Friday night.
For Steve Cooper’s Reds, the meeting with the Cottagers is a chance to end a three-match losing run ahead of the international break. They were toppled 3-2 by Bournemouth on the banks of the Trent last time out, and will be eager to put that result firmly behind them when they take on their fellow promoted side.
The atmosphere at home games during Cooper’s time in charge has often been electric, but Ream believes the visitors can work the crowd in their favour, if they can make a positive start on Friday.
Asked if Fulham can feed off the atmosphere against Forest, the American told FFCtv: “Absolutely. We approach every match the same way. We’re going to go and try to get three points.
