Richard Chin’s brilliant late finish earned Ross County a place in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals as they beat Dunfermline 2-1 in Fife.

Chin ran on to Brian Graham’s ball over the top and fired first time into the top corner from 18 yards in the 85th minute to seal the victory at East End Park.

County had taken a deserved lead in the 58th minute when Jamie Lindsay nodded home after Jack Turner had lobbed the ball across the goalmouth.

Allan Oyirwoth levelled from close range on his Dunfermline debut in the 76th minute as he finished off a slick move.

But Stuart Kettlewell’s side were well worth their victory after taking control of the cup tie from the start.

Graham forced two early saves before Lindsay hit the post from a free-kick and County continued to look threatening, while Andrew Tod forced a save from the home side’s best chance of the half.

The Pars had a good spell after their equaliser but Chin’s finish was worthy of winning the tie.
