Spanish actor Javier Bardem claims he has faced "professional punishment" due to his outspoken support for Palestine.
Bardem, a vocal celebrity activist for Gaza, wore an anti-war patch and pro-Palestine pin at the 2026 Oscars, declaring "No to war and free Palestine."
He stated that he has lost out on job opportunities and brand campaigns, drawing parallels to Susan Sarandon's experience of being unable to find television roles after her pro-Palestine activism.
Bardem believes some people may put him on a blacklist, but also notes that new projects are calling him, suggesting a shift in the narrative.
Melissa Barrera was also fired from Scream 7 in 2023 for her social media posts denouncing Israeli actions, highlighting a pattern of actors facing repercussions for their pro-Palestine stances.
