Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin insists midfielder Lewis Smith is going nowhere amid interest from Dundee.
Reports emerged earlier this week that the 22-year-old was on Dundee boss Gary Bowyer's wanted list ahead of the transfer deadline.
That interest has now been confirmed by Rankin but after his side lost 2-0 Raith Rovers this afternoon, he insisted Smith will be staying at New Douglas Park.
Asked if there has been contact from Dundee, he said: "I spoke to Gary Bowyer last week.
"But there's no chance of Lewis Smith going anywhere. I'm quite comfortable with that.
"People can read papers and put rumours out there, but Smithy knows exactly what I think of him.
"Smithy put on a good performance last week and showed why he has people admiring him, but that's all it is, people admiring him.
"There is nothing happening there."
He added: "I know Dundee like Lewis Smith, but I like Cammy Kerr, Jordan Marshall, Zak Rudden and Luke McGowan.
"That doesn't mean to say we are going to go and get them.
"So they just need to keep that in mind."
