More than 20 volunteer lifesavers at Dundee's lifeboat station have been awarded medals by the Queen to mark her Platinum Jubilee and to recognise their years of service on the River Tay.
The recipients of the medals included deputies at the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat station, operated by the RNLI, as well as lifeboat crew members and the launchers - those in charge of sending boats out on missions, or 'shouts'.
The medals were presented to all crew members with at least five years service by Broughty Ferry's Lifeboat Operations Manager Simon Mortlock.
Labour Ferry councillor Pete Shears noted on social media: "Congratulations! And very well deserved."
Each medal represents the monarch's recognition of the contribution lifeboat volunteers make to keeping the country's waterways safe.
They received the medals on June 22, alongside colleagues across the UK who serve in police services, fire brigades, other emergency services, prison services and the armed forces.
The medal is the fourth commemorative medal created for Elizabeth II's reign, and the seventh such medal created by any ruling Royal.

The awards come just a day after lifeboat crews were dispatched from Broughty Ferry to rescue an adult and two children who were trapped by rising tides on the rocks at the town's castle.
