Dundalk have signed current Gibraltar international Louie Annesley from Blackburn Rovers.
The centre-back, 22, played against Ireland twice in the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign and will do so again in the upcoming Euro 2024 campaign.
“I’m excited for those two games, especially now that I’m at Dundalk,” he said following his move to Oriel Park. “Hopefully, I’ll have a couple of supporters in the Irish end!

Capped 35 times, Annesley has signed a long-term deal with the Lilywhites having spent the last four years at Blackburn.
He only made one appearance for Rovers, against Bristol City in the League Cup in August and had loan spells at Woking and Barnet.
Annesley was at Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar before that and played in Europe. He is a former Chelsea academy player.
“Dundalk is a club I was aware of from the success they’ve had over the past decade and from playing in the Europa League group stages,” he said.
“When Stephen O’Donnell rang me, my ears pricked up straight away.
“The vision he sold me, aiming to win league titles and cups, and making real progress in Europe, is something that definitely appeals to me.”
Annesley scored for Gibraltar in their last competitive game, a 2-1 Nations League defeat at home to Georgia in September.
