Duncan Ferguson has been named the new manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Championship club has revealed the former Rangers and Dundee United striker as its new head coach.
Ferguson, 51, replaces Billy Dodds at the helm in the Highlands after his departure following a dismal start to the campaign.
It is only his second job in club management having endured a poor, short stint at Forest Green Rovers earlier this year. He tasted victory on just one of his 18 matches in charge of the then League One outfit, who suffered relegation last term.

Ferguson has joined Caley Thistle on a three-year deal.
A club statement reads: "The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Duncan Ferguson as the new Manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club.
"The Everton legend joins us on a three-year deal following an extensive recruitment process which involved some truly excellent candidates.
"Duncan has worked alongside some of the most respected and outstanding football coaches in the world in recent seasons and we are proud to have him join ICTFC as our new Manager. His professionalism, commitment and dynamic leadership skills shone through in our discussions, making him the stand-out candidate.
"Everyone at the club is looking forward to supporting Duncan as the hard work starts now and we hope every Caley Jag will now get right behind him and the team in what we are sure will be a thrilling journey.
"A full interview with ICT Media will feature on the club website later this week."
Ferguson has another tough task on his hands for his second job in management.
Inverness are rooted to the foot of the Championship after six games with only one point on the board. Morton sits ninth on four points, while Ayr United has six in eighth spot.
His first game in charge will be a far cry from the Premier League grounds he was used to visiting while on Everton's coaching staff. High-flying Arbroath will welcome Caley Thistle on Saturday afternoon.
