An animal rescue centre in Dunbartonshire is appealing to dog lovers to donate specialised food for dogs in their care.
Dunbartonshire and West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, in Milton, is currently caring for over 30 dogs and is running low on essential food for dogs with special dietary requirements.
Items can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon wish list or via any other online retailer offering direct delivery to the centre.
Centre assistant manager, Rachel Mansfield said: “We are in desperate need of sensitive dry food for the dogs in our care.
"Kennels can be a very stressful environment for the dogs which can lead to a lot of tummy upsets. Some breeds are more prone to becoming stressed and feeding them a sensitive or higher quality food can help their tummies.

“We are in need of sensitive dry dog food such as Royal Canin, Eukanuba and Lily’s Kitchen. This food helps keep dogs like Poppy happy and healthy while they wait to find their forever homes.
“We are so thankful for your support so that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our centre. We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know the dogs will be too.”
Dog food can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wish list here or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the centre at Scottish SPCA, Dumbarton Road, Milton, G82 2UA.
