Dumfriesshire auctioneer Sybelle Thomson is hitting TV screens in a new series on Really.
The hugely talented lady is set to charm audiences with her antics and historical knowledge in the eight-episode run of the Edinburgh Auction House from STV Studios.
As managing director of the auction group – founded by her great-grandfather over 140 years ago – there is said to be “no-one north of the border better placed than Sybelle to identify a winning lot”.
The first programme was aired last Monday night at 9pm on Really – the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned channel which launched the hugely popular Yorkshire Auction House last year featuring Angus Ashworth – and subsequent episodes will be shown at the same time each week.
Sybelle travelled to people’s home over the border to search through their treasures to sell at auction in Edinburgh – with each seller having a personal story and reason to turn to her for help in clearing items.
She will also be delving through homes in Scotland in search of the trinkets and treasure she predicts will deliver the goods at auction in the editions to come.
The show is on every Monday at 9pm and is repeated at 3pm on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday on Really.
