Dumfries and Galloway teams prepare for return of Stewartry Rugby 10s

Teams from across Dumfries and Galloway and beyond will be heading to Greenlaw this weekend for the return of the Stewartry Rugby 10s.

Eleven teams will compete in the tournament, sponsored by Loch Ken Holiday Park and supported by T.P. Niven.

The men’s competition will feature hosts Stewartry as well as Dumfries, Annan, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, Oban and Lenzie.

And Stewartry Sirens host the women’s tournament, with teams from Annan, Ayr and Biggar also making the trip.

Games will start at 12.30pm with the final scheduled for about 5pm. There will also be a barbecue, bar and a night-time disco.

Everyone is welcome to go along with tickets available on the gate for a nominal fee.
