A frail pensioner with dementia was left suffering for 18 hours while waiting for an ambulance.

Susan Nellis, 76, was left bent over a chair with a back problem while she waited, after her GP made the call for an ambulance at 6.46pm.

Paramedics didn't arrive at her care home until 1pm the following day, reports the Daily Record.
