Everton have joined Duk’s list of admirers, according to a report.
The Aberdeen striker is a man in demand, with Burnley thought to be monitoring the Portuguese ahead of making their return to the English Premier League. The Toffees are battling to stay there as Sean Dyche looks to repair the damage done under Frank Lampard and guide them to safety.
Now the Daily Mail reports that the Goodison Park club have sent scouts to watch the former Benfica man. He’s hit 18 goals for Barry Robson’s side this season, which has seen them reel in Hearts to overtake the Jambos in the battle for third place and European football. The Pittodrie club are bracing themselves for summer bids for their top scorer. However, they’ll need to be big ones, with three years left on his contract and Benfica due 50 per cent of any transfer fee, which was part of the deal that took him to the North East last year.
Everton are also keeping an eye on Ross County’s Dylan Smith. The teenager has impressed for Malky Mackay;s Staggies despite their relegation worries and is seen as a long term option by Dyche and a potential back up to Nathan Patterson at right back after Seamus Coleman retires.
