Dueling expert picks for Cardinals-Rams in Week 12

The Arizona Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams Sunday at home in Week 12. The Rams come in having won their last game after a three-game losing streak.

The Cardinals are 1-1 since the return of Kyler Murray and, even in their loss to the Houston Texans last week, they had a chance to score a go-ahead touchdown in their final possession of the game.

The Rams won the first matchup in Los Angeles and have won 12 of the last 14 meetings. They have won the last eight at State Farm Stadium.

What are the experts saying?

Below we have expert picks from Cards Wire, Rams Wire and NFL Network.

Jess Root, Cards Wire

Cardinals 24, Rams 23

This is a tough one. The Cardinals have not beaten the Rams at home since 2014. The Rams, though, are not playing particularly well. The Cardinals should have won last week and did win in Murray’s first game back.

They average 25 points per game at home. Murray leads them to another last-minute win.

Cam DaSilva, Rams Wire

Rams 23, Cardinals 20

I think the Rams come away with a close win. This is obviously a different Cardinals team than the ones they dominated under Kliff Kingsbury, but I still believe Los Angeles is the better squad. As long as they can protect Stafford and prevent big plays in the passing game, the Rams should be able to beat the Cardinals.

NFL Network panel

Five of the 10 panelists pick the Cardinals. Five pick the Rams. Only one expects the game not to be close.
