Dubliners legend Ronnie Drew to be remembered in stunning concert by son Phelim

Irish music legend Ronnie Drew is to be remembered by son Phelim and The Drew House Band in a special concert with proceeds going towards helping Ukrainian refugees.

Taking place in St Patrick's Church in Ringsend Village on the evening of Friday, May 27, Remembering Ronnie sees Ronnie's son Phelim bring to life a memorable show for audiences.

The annual All in a Row event, which usually fundraises for the RNLI and The Irish Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, are instead donating 100% of proceeds to the Irish Refugee Council in aid of newly arrived Ukrainian refugees in 2022.

The funds will go directly to women and children arriving from Ukraine. The proceeds from the concert will give access to emergency services such as accommodation, medical help and assistance with childcare.

Tickets for the special concert are available now from Eventbrite and cost €15, with all profits going to aid for Ukrainian refugees who have arrived into Ireland.

Ronnie is the iconic voice behind hits by The Dubliners such as Seven Drunken Nights and The Irish River and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic folk singers in Irish history.

His son Phelim Drew, who will host and take part in the concert this Friday, is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting and has appeared in movies and TV shows since the 80s.

Ronnie died in St Vincent's Hospital in August 2008 following a long illness. He was 73-years-old when he passed away.
