We can expect plenty of April showers with Met Eireann predicting there is a chance of spot flooding due to persistent rain during the week.
Monday will start mostly dry with a mix of hazy cloud and sunny spells in Dublin although there is a chance of some light drizzle at times with highest temperatures of 10 to 12C. It will remain mostly dry tonight with temperatures dropping to 1 to 3C.
Tuesday will be much the same with mixes of cloud and sunny spells. However the national forecast says it will be wet on Tuesday night with widespread rain turning heavy in places.

This persistent rain will continue on Wednesday with a risk of spot flooding. Things do look like they will pick up later in the week though with good sunny spells as we head to the weekend. Here's how the national forecast is looking for the days ahead.
Tuesday: "A wet night as persistent rain extends eastwards across the country by morning, turning heavy in places. Temperatures not falling below 6 to 9 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds."
Wednesday: "A wet start to the day with widespread rain, heavy in places with localised spot flooding possible. A clearance to sunny spells and scattered showers will develop in the west by early afternoon, gradually extending eastwards across the country by evening as moderate southwesterly winds veer westerly."
Thursday: "Good sunny spells with just a few light showers. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest breezes. Dry overnight with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees with frost forming in places."
Friday: "A dry day with plenty of sunny spells, turning hazy at times. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with moderate southeasterly winds developing."
