Met Eireann have warned that there may be some flooding today as more heavy downpours are expected after a wet weekend.
While today will start off dry and sunny, heavy rain and thunder is forecast for the afternoon, according to the national forecaster. Strong winds are also expected, however temperatures will remain warm reaching between 17 and 21 degrees.
The rest of the week is likely to be just as bad with tomorrow seeing heavy bursts of rain. Wednesday will also see heavy and thundery showers, along with mist and fog.

Here is the weather outlook for the coming days.
Today
A calm start to the day but winds will pick up later. It will be a dry and sunny morning, however clouds will develop during the day bringing showers. Later there will be heavy and thundery downpours with a chance of spot flooding. Temperatures will reach 21 degrees. More rain at times tonight with temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees.
Tomorrow
Showers will spread across the country on Tuesday, with some heavy bursts of rain. Temperatures will range from 16 to 20 degrees with fresh winds.
Wednesday
Sunny spells and showers on Wednesday, some of the showers will be heavy and thundery. Maximum temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in moderate breezes, varying in direction. Clear spells and scattered showers overnight. Areas of mist and fog will form as wind fall light. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
