Met Eireann has forecast more "torrential rain and intense thunderstorms" that could result in flooding for some areas.
According to Met Eireann forecasters, scattered showers will continue this morning with the possibility of thunderstorms will continue to affect areas, with the chance of becoming intense through the afternoon with the continued risk of flooding. Highest temperatures of between 18 and 23 degrees, with light to moderate northerly winds.
Meanwhile, a Status Orange thunderstorm warning remains in place for the entire country until 9am. An earlier Status Yellow heat warning has also now expired, with the warm weather to break after a record-breaking week which saw temperatures soar to 31.7C at Oak Park in Carlow on Friday.
